I was honored to sail aboard Royal Caribbeans Adventure of the Seas on June 12th, 2021.  The first Royal Caribbean sailing from a North American port,  since the OUTBREAK of 2020.

The sailing was highly monitored, so how did it go?

Preboarding was actually very easy.  You are given a time to arrive, do not arrive early, they will not let you on before your scheduled time.  Consider your scheduled time at medical appointment,  as that is how it starts.

When you arrive they take your luggage, which you will see on the ship.

Ypu sot in a lobby until your scheduled time. You are directec into a room where they swab your nose.. and its not the brain tickler.

From there, you are taken into another room, where your documents are verified.  Easy enough, and then you off to a large conference room, where you would sit until you receive an email, with the swab test results.  This takes about 30 min.

Make sure you have a phone with internet capabilities... they have wifi.  This is how they send the test results.  Check your junk mail,  that is where mine showed up.

Once cleared, you are sent to waiting shuttles buses to the ship.   Once on the ship, the masks came off.

You go to your cabin, where your luggage is already awaiting al9ng with keys to your cabin on the room # display.

The muster is now a brief tv tutorial, you answer questions on your phone and then before the ship leaves, stop by your assigned must station and someone will give you a sticker that verifies you did the muster.  Very simple.

If you have fresh fruit or strawberries awaiting you in your stateroom, check it!  I had chocolate covered strawberries
